Build your budget from the goods purchase and the overseas parcel together. A seller price, this site’s dollar estimate and OOTDBuy’s foreign-currency quote describe different amounts.

Goods, freight and separate charges

Component Calculation or scope
Goods cost The merchandise price plus domestic freight from the seller to the warehouse.
Goods service fee 8% of the goods cost, embedded in the foreign-currency quote.
International freight A dynamic quote based on the parcel, shipping channel and destination.
Shipping service fee 8% of international freight, embedded in the foreign-currency shipping quote.
Declaration service Normally CNY 8 per outbound parcel, subject to the selected channel’s terms; charged separately.
Optional services Requested services such as insurance or additional QC, priced separately.

Destination duties or taxes, payment processing charges and exceptional handling costs are separate considerations where applicable.

The embedded 8% fee and its two calculation bases

The 8% service fee applies to two separate bases: the goods cost and international freight. Domestic freight is part of the goods-cost base. The fee is included in the displayed foreign-currency quotation rather than added as another charge on top of that same quote.

For comparison, the combined quotation can be expressed as:

Goods cost × 1.08 + international freight × 1.08

This expression excludes the separately charged declaration service and any other applicable separate item. It does not mean that both purchasing and international shipping must be paid in one transaction. Do not add another 8% to an amount that already includes it.

For an arithmetic example, assume merchandise of CNY 100, domestic freight of CNY 10 and international freight of CNY 200. These are fictional inputs, not a shipping quotation:

Component Example calculation CNY-equivalent amount
Goods-side base 100 + 10 110.00
Goods with embedded service fee 110 × 1.08 118.80
Freight with embedded service fee 200 × 1.08 216.00
Combined goods and freight 118.80 + 216.00 334.80
Example declaration service 8, if that channel applies the normal charge 8.00

The example reaches CNY 342.80 equivalent before any other applicable separate charge and currency settlement. It does not establish a delivered price or an exchange rate. If the account already quotes the goods at an amount including the service fee, do not multiply that quoted total by 1.08 again.

After ordering, use the account’s cost breakdown to check the goods, freight and service-fee records.

Actual weight, volume and the selected route

International freight uses the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight under the selected channel’s billing rules. The route and destination also affect the quote. A large, light parcel can therefore cost more than its scale weight suggests.

Use the actual destination country, expected dimensions and weight when estimating. Recheck the quote after consolidation, removal of packaging or reinforcement changes the parcel. Do not reuse another shopper’s rate as your own quote.

Declaration, optional services and payment charges

The declaration service charge supports outbound declaration processing. It is not a destination customs duty or a promise that destination taxes are included.

Insurance and requested QC inspections are optional services with their own terms. Additional handling, returns, storage or logistics penalties can arise in specific circumstances. Read the charge attached to the operation before confirming it.

Payment providers can also apply processing or conversion charges. Review payments and top-ups before funding the account.

Spreadsheet price estimates

This site’s ~$ prices use a fixed reference conversion of CNY 7.2 per US dollar. They do not include your international freight, OOTDBuy’s complete checkout charges or destination costs. Confirm the current price of the exact option before ordering.

Budget checklist

  1. Check the product variant, quantity and domestic freight.
  2. Identify which quoted amounts already contain the service fee.
  3. Estimate the parcel for the correct country and route.
  4. Add separate services and payment charges that apply.
  5. Review destination requirements and the final packed-parcel settlement.

Continue with parcel packing and shipping before submitting the warehouse items.
