Create an international parcel from goods already available in your OOTDBuy warehouse. Check the storage deadline and dispatch plan before waiting for further purchases. The final shipment depends on the selected contents, destination, packaging and carrier route.
Parcel contents and address
In the warehouse, select the items to submit for shipping. Enter the recipient’s complete name, address, postcode and contact information. Check the details before the parcel leaves the warehouse, when corrections are easier to arrange.
Use the routes offered for the actual parcel. Not all products can travel on every line, and route limits can apply to the weight, dimensions and contents.
Consolidation and packaging
Combining compatible purchases can reduce repeated initial-weight and per-parcel charges. Compare the combined quote with separate parcels rather than assuming consolidation always saves money. Larger dimensions can increase volumetric weight.
Review any unpacking, box removal, reinforcement or insurance selection before confirming. Removing labels, seals or product packaging can affect return eligibility. Reinforcement can improve protection but does not automatically make damage insurable.
Consider item quantity, route limits and truthful customs declaration when deciding the parcel contents. Do not divide goods to evade customs supervision or taxes.
Parcel rehearsal: pay for packing before the final quote
The rehearsal workflow lets the warehouse pack the selected goods before showing the resulting freight quote. The listed rehearsal charge is CNY 20. Enter the address and route, pay the rehearsal charge, and wait for packing and the final shipping amount.
Confirm the service and current charge in your account before submitting. The rehearsal charge is not payment of international freight or shipping insurance. This path provides the packed-parcel quote after the rehearsal operation; the prepaid path below collects estimated freight before final packing. Choose from the workflow offered for the actual items rather than paying for both as though they were two mandatory shipping stages.
Prepaid shipping: reconcile the estimate after packing
The alternative waybill workflow collects estimated freight before the warehouse packs the parcel. After packing, weighing and assessment, the prepaid amount is reconciled against the final freight.
A surplus is returned to the OOTDBuy account balance; a shortfall requires an additional payment. Keep enough budget for a difference rather than treating the first estimate as a fixed final price.
Packed dimensions, chargeable weight and settlement
Final freight depends on the carrier’s assessment of actual and volumetric weight under the chosen channel’s terms. Use the selected line’s calculation method and divisor where a volumetric calculation applies; there is no single divisor to substitute for every route.
For example, a fictional parcel with 2 kg actual weight and 3.5 kg calculated volumetric weight can be billed from the higher figure under that rule. Its scale weight alone would not describe the billing basis. Route rounding and minimum charges must still be checked separately.
| Packaging change | What can change | What to compare before confirming |
|---|---|---|
| Remove an outer seller box | Weight and external dimensions | Protection and any return-packaging requirement |
| Combine several items | Repeated per-parcel charges and total volume | Combined quote versus separate parcels |
| Add reinforcement | Weight, dimensions and protection | The revised quote and insurance exclusions |
The international freight service fee is embedded in the foreign-currency quote. Declaration services and selected extras are separate where applicable. Review fees and shipping costs to avoid counting an embedded fee twice.
Declaration and dispatch
Descriptions, quantities and values must match the goods and supporting records. A declaration service fee is not a destination tax payment or a customs-clearance guarantee. Check the destination’s applicable requirements and respond to requests for supporting documents.
Review and settle the parcel charges, including any freight difference. Once the shipment is dispatched, use delivery and tracking to follow it through to receipt.
