Follow the parcel after international dispatch and check the destination carrier’s updates. A tracking status is a progress record, not confirmation that the recipient has received and checked the goods.
Parcel and carrier tracking records
Open your OOTDBuy account’s Parcel section and select Tracking Details for the shipment. Keep the parcel number and carrier tracking reference together when contacting support.
If customs or the carrier asks for documents or recipient information, respond through the appropriate service promptly. Unresolved address or clearance requirements can prevent delivery and lead to additional costs.
Out for delivery and the final carrier
The destination post office or courier handles the final delivery stage. If the tracking shows Out for delivery but the parcel has not arrived, check the local carrier’s detailed record for an attempted delivery, pickup instruction or address problem.
OOTDBuy’s status explanation includes cases where the recipient was unavailable and delivery was not completed. The label alone does not establish successful receipt. Contact the local carrier to confirm the next action.
Missed delivery, collection and return options
Arrange collection or redelivery within the carrier’s available period. Some routes do not provide overseas redelivery or a return service; a parcel sent back to an overseas logistics warehouse may not be scheduled for another attempt.
Do not assume that an uncollected parcel will be returned free of charge. Returns caused by an incorrect address, missed receipt or an international security issue can create further costs. Confirm the route-specific options with support.
Parcel inspection and evidence at receipt
Before signing where the service permits, check the outer carton, seals and any obvious weight discrepancy. If there is visible damage, ask the carrier to record it and follow its inspection or refusal procedure. Preserve the packaging and evidence rather than discarding the carton immediately.
Photograph the shipping label, seals, damaged packaging, contents and affected goods. For a suspected missing item, keep the item list and order numbers. If the weight appears wrong, document it before opening when possible.
Damage or missing contents: evidence and report deadlines
Report a problem immediately and keep the outer carton, sealing tape, label and contents. The receipt instructions contain separate reporting requirements; a report to one recipient does not necessarily complete the other step.
| Action | Stated timing | What to provide |
|---|---|---|
| Notify the local post office of damage or missing contents found after signing | Within 2 days after signing, based on the logistics delivery record | Delivery details and the packaging or inspection evidence requested locally |
| Send the preserved packaging evidence, invoice and photos to OOTDBuy for a compensation request | The parcel-receiving instructions state within 2 working days of delivery | Parcel number, affected items, purchase evidence and clear photos |
| Report a post-signing problem to OOTDBuy customer service | The same receiving instructions specify within 72 hours | The issue, parcel and order identifiers, carrier report and supporting evidence |
These are different descriptions in the receipt instructions, not one combined extension. Start both the carrier report and the OOTDBuy support report as soon as the issue is discovered. Do not wait for 72 hours merely because that is longer than another stated period, and check any additional deadline on the selected route.
A report starts an investigation. It does not confirm eligibility or the final compensation amount. See insurance and claims for coverage limits and returns and refunds for seller-related issues.
